The Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library welcomed families from across the district on Feb. 28 for its All Abilities Awareness Fair at the main library in Shirley. The afternoon featured resource and sensory tables, hands-on activities, and opportunities for attendees to connect with community organizations serving individuals of all abilities.
Special guest speaker Rohan Murphy, a Paralympian wrestler and motivational speaker, shared an inspiring message of perseverance and resilience that resonated with both children and adults. Families also had the opportunity to meet trained service dogs and learn more about programs that promote inclusion throughout the community.
Library officials said the event reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to accessible, inclusive programming and celebrating the diversity of abilities within the community.
