Floyd football falls short in LI Championship game

Posted

The William Floyd Colonials’ bid for a sixth Long Island championship came up short, as William Floyd lost to Massapequa, 35-7.

The Colonials finished the regular season and playoffs with a Suffolk County Championship, their 14th in program history, and a 10-2 record.

The student-athletes, as they always do, played for one another and left it all out on the field.

Despite the loss, it was the Colonials’ 14th trip to the Long Island championship game—another example of why the program is one of the very best on Long Island.

Congratulations to head coach Paul Longo, his coaching staff, and the student-athletes on another memorable season, and thank you to the William Floyd community for always supporting the Colonials!
