Tilray Brands is buying Blue Point Brewing Co. from Anheuser-Busch, it was announced Monday.
Blue Point Brewing, which has a production facility and tasting room in Patchogue, is one of eight craft beer brands Tilray is acquiring from Anheuser-Busch. The all-cash deal is expected to close later this year. The purchase price was not disclosed in the press release announcing the sale.
Blue Point Brewing was founded in 1998 by Mark Burford and Peter Cotter. They grew Blue Point Brewing into one of the largest craft breweries in the U.S. before selling the company to Anheuser-Busch in 2014.
Blue Point Brewing moved from River Avenue to its current location at 225 West Street, in 2019.
Tilray already owns a number of craft breweries, including Montauk Brewing Co., which it acquired in November 2022.
Tilray Brands is an American Pharmaceutical cannabis lifestyle and consumers good company publicly traded on NASDAQ. The headquarters is based in New York City and the business generated $628 million in revenue last year.
