Check out these local restaurants offering a special prix fixe menu

Captain Bill’s in Bay Shore is offering items to start from New England clam chowder to artichoke and spinach dip and entrees like blackened tuna and prime rib then toasted pound cake, bread pudding or an apple crisp for dessert as part of their restaurant week prix fixe menu.

Check out the Fish Store on Montauk Highway in Bayport for restaurant week. Their menu features bacon wrapped sea scallops, a choice of salmon, cod, flounder, steak or shrimp and scallops and for desert rice pudding, juniors cheesecake or chocolate fudge cake all for $29.95 with no upcharges!

Chachama Grill in East Patchogue will be offering a $29.95 prix fixe menu with choices including split pea soup and penne to start and short rib, rigatoni and bronzini for the main then a napoleon, chocolate cake or sorbets to end.

As cold winter nights push us to stay home, break up the snow-driven monotony with Long Island Restaurant Week, hosted throughout Nassau and Suffolk from Sunday, Jan. 26 through Sunday, Feb. 2.

Over eight nights to try new flavors or catch up on old favorites, participating restaurants offer a prix fixe three-course meal (appetizer, entree, dessert) for the sweet cost of $29.95 per person (excluding beverages; some restaurants might have step-up fees for certain options).

The prix fixe is available on Saturday, Feb. 1 only until 7 p.m.

1. H20 (166 W. Main St., East Islip)

This seafood hot spot offers lobster for both first and second courses, with three sumptuous dessert options for all corners of the sweet tooth.

2. Besito (399 Montauk Highway, West Islip)

Though it’s an extra cost, this authentic Mexican restaurant’s tableside guacamole is worth a try.

3. Captain Bill’s (122 Ocean Ave., Bay Shore)

Luxe dining local, Captain Bill’s offers nearly all its maritime favorites on this special prix fixe menu.

4. La Tavola (183 Main St., Sayville)

Hurry for this special, as La Tavola is making its first appearance in the winter Restaurant Week. Its throwback menu will feature old, southern Italian favorites from La Tavola’s early days.

5. The Fish Store (836 Montauk Highway, Bayport)

A Restaurant Week must as the winner of the Best Fish Market (“Bethpage Best of Long Island”) for more than five years. Its classic, well-portioned Restaurant Week menu is available for the biggest appetites.

6. Snapper Inn (500 Shore Drive, Oakdale)

American favorites encompass the full surf-and-turf menu.

7. Chachama Grill (655 Montauk Highway, East Patchogue)

Unique and fresh menu includes a decadent dessert option of napoleon, chocolate cake or mixed berries.

8. RHUM (13 E. Main St., Patchogue)

Duck empanadas and jerk chicken? Yes, please, to this Caribbean island retreat’s menu.

9. Avino’s (108 S. Country Road, Bellport)

Surprise yourself with the fresh catch of the day, included in the prix fixe for all eight days.
